Mount Calvary is Building on Christ
Our building expansion project is just one of the reasons behind the theme "Building on Christ" (based on 1 Corinthians 3:11) for Mt. Calvary's 83rd school year. Construction workers would tell us that in order to have a structurally sound building, a solid foundation is necessary. This foundation allows a building to stand the test of time and weather adverse conditions.
In a similar way, when a Christian's life is built on the foundation of Christ, he/she is better equipped to handle the challenges and opportunities of daily life. A foundation of Christ also ensures the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life in heaven. Praise God that the physical building of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and School as well as activities that take place within it are built on our solid foundation who is Christ Jesus. Keep all our staff in your prayers as they "build" with students and parents throughout the year.
In addition to a new facility, I pray that much will be built throughout the school year including academic and spiritual knowledge, positive relationships between church and school families, and an atmosphere demonstrating God's love and forgiveness. We wait in expectation to be shown the adventures God has in store for the Mt. Calvary family. It's going to be a wonderful year!
