Mount Calvary Lutheran School is dedicated to teaching God's children through His Word to be Christ-like witnesses and productive members of society.
Vision, and Values
Committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Mount Calvary Lutheran School has been an anchor in Milwaukee's Sherman Park Neighborhood since 1925.
Mt. Calvary Lutheran School is committed to developing the whole child in an atmosphere of faith and service to our Lord. By offering a quality education in and atmosphere of concern for children, we strive to prepare our students to succeed in the career path they choose. We welcome you to visit the school and meet with the staff. By working together with the home, we develop the greatest potential for success. Our teachers use a variety of methods to challenge children to do their best.
Christian education is achieved by God's Grace through the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. God's purpose in education is to lead all people to a life of Christian discipleship by baptizing and teaching (as stated in the Great Commission, Matt. 28:19-20) and to eternal life in Heaven (I Tim. 2:4).
Each child is viewed as a unique creation of God with his/her own talents and abilities. At. Mt. Calvary Lutheran School, we strive to give each child the opportunity to develop to his/her full potential. Christian teachers, in the context of Christ's love, educate each child in all aspects of spiritual, academic, personal, physical, and social development. The teachings of God and His love and forgiveness are not taught as one subject, but are integrated into all subjects and activities.
We recognize that the family is the primary influence in the total education of a child. It is our belief that this influence can be most effective when the home, church, and school cooperate in the education of children to the glory of God.
Christian education is most effective when it is experienced in an atmosphere of God's love and forgiveness. Our goal is to prepare students to become productive members of society and to be Christ-like examples to the world.
