What I have learned at Mt. Calvary Lutheran School the past two years is an education that has gotten me prepared for high school. What Mt. Calvary has taught me is to be the best I can be. It has made me set goals for myself with things I have struggled with in the past. Mt. Calvary has not only prepared me for high school, but it has also prepared me for a new life in Christ. Mt. Calvary has helped me strengthen my faith and they help me put into practice the fruits of the Spirit. I have learned many things here.
I have learned to express myself better than I used to. I am now calmer and not so quick to do things. The things I have learned are important to me because for next year I'll need them for the things I will be involved in. When I came to Mt. Calvary last year, I didn't know what to expect. But now, I've learned more than I thought. Even though my time at Mt. Calvary is over, I won't stop learning from being here.
My goals for the future are for me to do better in school and make something of myself. I have these goals because if not, I might not be what I need to be. To do better in school is a big thing for me because I need good grades in high school to go to college. My goals for next year are for me to work hard and to be a leader. I should lead by example and not act out as if the school I just came from didn't teach how to follow rules.
My character has changed ever since I came Mt. Calvary. Before I came here, I went to a non-Christian school. It wasn't God-focused. But now, I have become more patient with others and I have more self-control. I have more respect for adults and for my classmates. I used to be quick to do things, and I didn't used to listen to directions because I liked doing my things my own way. I was not very responsible. But now, I am responsible and I listen more. My character is better than usual and I try to practice the fruits of the Spirit.
How I have changed in my faith since I came here is I go to church more often, and I am more active around the school. I go to church every Sunday and my life is more Christ-focused than it used to be. My faith has strengthened since I came here because I read my Bible more often and I try to read to others. I learned that I should be one of God's followers. I have been trying to follow God and it is not a very easy job because there are many obstacles on the way. From what I learned I am growing in my faith when I am having hard times. My faith has been growing ever since I came here and I can notice it by how I carry myself around. The way I know this is that I am more cheerful and I am sometimes quick to help others when they need it. So, I have learned and grown more than I imagined in my faith. And I know this because this is what I have learned at Mt. Calvary Lutheran School. |
