He Prays for You
By Pastor Eggebrecht @ 9:42 PM :: 30 Views ::
Pastors Message
At Mt. Calvary, we've been doing a lot of talking about praying lately. Is it just that...talk? Have the reminders had an impact on your prayer life? Do you use Scritpure to "inform" your prayers, so that you pray for the Lord's will and not your own will? Are you praying the prayer the Lord gave us? Do you have a prayer book that can guide your prayers? Are you simply praying from the heart?
You could pray "A.S.K." prayers: Ask...Seek...Knock. You could pray "A.C.T.S." prayers: Adoration...Confession (of sins)...Thanksgiving...Supplication. You could even dig out that old Lutheran Prayer Book that you got for Confirmation, and use it on a daily basis.
On Sunday we will be reminded that Jesus Himself prayed for us the night on which He was arrested. He prayed that we would be "one" in Him who died for us and rose again...so that "the world may believe that You (the Father) sent me." He gives us the gift of communication with Him so that others will come to know their Savior.
Pray that Mt. Calvary would be a congregation filled with pray-ers! Bring others to Mt. Calvary to worship the One who is one with us! Tell others about the One who prayed for us on the night in which He was betrayed!
