Defense wins championships! So say the sports pundits. Defense seems to be the "unglamorous" part of athletics. Individuals, it seems, would rather be scoring points than defending the other team. But, without defense, offense is not enough

St. Peter reminds us to always be "prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you." Defense not only wins championships, it wins souls!

There's a lot of talk at Mt. Calvary about "Bringing Hope to the Heart of the City." But what kind of "hope" is it? It is the only "hope" that really matters: hope in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. That's CERTAIN hope! And it is the very thing we "defend" when someone asks us the reason for the hope we have.

Defend your hope. Give reason for it. Seek opportunities to share that hope...even BEFORE someone asks. Pray! Bring! Tell!

Pray that Mt. Calvary would share the hope of Jesus with the lost! Bring others to Mt. Calvary to hear about the certain hope that we possess! Tell others about the hope that you have within you!
