Gracism

COMING NEXT SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 7th (10:15-11:15 a.m.):

A brand new Bible Class for anyone and everyone at Mt. Calvary!  Pastor Eggebrecht will be teaching an eight-week Bible study called, “Gracism:  The Art of Inclusion.”  The concept comes from David Anderson, pastor of Bridgeway Community Church, one of the nation’s leading multicultural churches, located in Columbia, Maryland (which Pastor Eggebrecht visited on his sabbatical).  When people deal with color, class, or culture in a negative way, that’s racism.  But the answer is not to ignore differences as if they don’t matter.  Instead, we focus on diversity in a positive way, as an opportunity to show God’s favor to others.  That’s gracism.  The class will open our eyes and open our minds to what Scripture says regarding “radical inclusion for the marginalized and excluded.”  We will focus on the “seven sayings of the gracist,” and offer practical examples for building bridges and including other.  Please don’t miss this very important study.  For an introductory video, click on this link
