Mount Calvary Lutheran Church is a multi-cultural, urban congregation in the heart of Milwaukee, focused on “Bringing Hope to the Heart of the City” by being a mission-outpost for our community. We are affiliated with the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, and believe that we have been given the free gift of salvation, by God’s grace, through faith, because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We would love to welcome you to our Sunday morning services where you will encounter the faithful preaching and teaching of God’s Word, a rich music ministry, and receive the love and forgiveness of Jesus through a richly diverse worship experience. You will find friendly people, a variety of ways to serve others, and spiritually enriching educational opportunities.
Mount Calvary has been present in the Sherman Park neighborhood of Milwaukee for more than 80 years, and has operated a Christian day-school throughout its entire history. Our school serves children from 4-year-old kindergarten through eighth grade, and offers a variety of academic, musical, and athletic experiences—all faith-based and aimed at developing Christian character in our students.
Our congregation is committed to pray-ing every day for our church and for the lost; bring-ing others to the services of God’s house so that we can share salvation and eternal life together; and tell-ing others about the hope that we have within us because of our Savior who loves and forgives us.
